Mini Glossary
Advanced Door Gimmick - At the end of this character's turn, this character can designate 1 door within line of sight as open. The door remains open and cannot be closed until the end of this character's next turn, or until the end of the turn this character is defeated. This door can open a door held closed by the Override ability as if it was Override. This door cannot be closed, even by the Override special ability.
Covenant: Any character whose name contains Covenant or has the Covenant Special Ability. Characters whose name contains Draay also are treated as if they had Covenant.
Force Pull X: (Variable Force Points) This group of unleashed Force Powers moves an enemy character adjacent to this character and allows this character to make attacks against the enemy. This movement does not provoke Attacks of Opportunity. The enemy must be placed in a legal landing spot. Force Pull itself is not an attack and does not require an attack roll, although it does allow attacks.
Mandalorian: Also counts as a Mandalorian character for purposes of Special Abilities and Commander Effects.
Mini FAQ
Special Abilities
Affinity
Q: Savage Oppress has Affinity for characters whose name contains Nightsister, some who are Fringe and can already be in this squad. Does this change their faction to Seperatist.
A: Yes. While they don't need Affinity to be in the same squad, they still benefit from the faction change.
Q: Is the change of faction optional?
A: No.
Bribery
Q: Do you reveal your Bribery figs before or after Reinforcements during setup?
A: At the same time, just like if you had Reinforcements.
Q: Do the figures you brought in by Bribery cost victory points when defeated?
A: No, they are treated the same as Reinforcement figures.
Q: What about the opponent's Reinforcement figures I take by Bribery?
A: No, they are still treated like figures brought in by Reinforcements.
Force Immunity
Q: How can Onimi use his Force Powers if he has Force Immunity?
A: Force Immunity only affects other characters using Force Points or Force Powers. Onimi can use his Force Points just like any other character with Force Points.
Magma Pebble
Q: When a character with Force Immunity uses Magma Pebble on me, can I reroll any of the saves to prevent damaged when my character is burned?
A: Yes. The subsequent saves from Magma Pebble after the initial damage are no longer tied to the character who used Magma Pebble.
Q: When make a save for Magma Pebble, can I remove an instance that I haven't made a save for yet?
A: No, you must remove the instance of Magma Pebble you just rolled a save for.
Force Powers
Force Essence
Q: What happens when my character with Force Essence is defeated within 6 of Ysalimari?
A: It resolves as normal. The character being brought in doesn't initially have Force Immunity, since they are not on the board yet. And once placed, you must finish resolving the Force Essence, similar to Master Speed.
Force Light
Q: What happens when a character with Force Light activated is moved into range of an opposing character's Force Light?
A: You resolve which Force Light is suppressed like any other simultaneous action, the acting player decides.
Force Pull
Q: Does the movement from Force Pull trigger General Skywalker's Momentum for the rest of that turn?
A: No. Momentum only applies on a character's own turn.
Sith Weapon
Q: Does it change the base damage of those affected?
A: No.
Commander Effects
Nomi Sunrider, Head of the Jedi Order
Q: Does her commander effect extend Force Powers who have a range of "touch" or "adjacent".
A: No.
Q: How does her commander effect interact with Repulse?
A: It extends the range of who Repulse effects, however, it does not affect where figures are pushed to. So, with Force Repulse 3, all figures within 5 squares would take damage and make the save for activation. Figures would still be pushed to 4 squares away. Figures 4 or 5 squares away would not be moved, since Repulse says they cannot be moved closer.

Destiny of the Force FAQ
Commander Effects
Mandalorian Tactician
Q: When I take the first phase, can I choose to only activate one character?
A: Yes. Using the Tactician's Commander Effect is optional, so you are allowed to activate the normal number of characters in a phase.
Special Abilities
Indiscriminate
Q: Would this ability ignore abilities on the character's own card such as Melee Attack or work when using abilities that Replace Attacks like Thud Bug?
A: No. The original wording didn't quite match the design intent. See the errata above. The ability only works when attacking, and only ignores enemy abilities that prevent targeting and attacks (such as Pheromones or Diplomat) or redirect targeting or attacks (such as Draw Fire or Bombad Gungan) but not abilities that prevent or redirect damage (such as Parry or Bodyguard.)
Jedi Reflexes
Q: Can I make an attack of opportunity on a character who uses Jedi Mind Trick or Force Leap?
A: No. It works on special abilities like Flight or Wall Climber, not Force powers.
Q: If R2-D2 Astromech Droid tows a character into an adjacent square can I make attacks of opportunity on both of them?
A: No. You are still limited to one attack of opportunity per turn. You could choose either character in this case, but not both.
Q: When exactly do you make an attack of opportunity on a character moving into an adjacent square if it matters for something like Self-Destruct?
A: The attack is made immediately after entering the square.
Master Shaper
Q: Does this ability stack with regular Shaper?
A: Yes. It follows the normal stacking rules, and the two abilities have different names.
Rout
Q: Can you try to Rout an enemy character into a pit?
A: Yes. It follows all the normal rules for involuntary movement.
Telepathic Insight
Q: If there's no useful enemy commander effect, could I duplicate one from my own squad? Like maybe have an extra copy of Yominn Carr's commander effect in case he's defeated?
A: No. You are limited to enemy commander effects.
Q: If I use Telepathic Insight to steal a commander effect from Grand Admiral Thrawn or Nom Anor do I get both effects (+3 Attack/+3 Defense and swapping, non-targetable in cover and Self-Destruct, respectively) or do I have to choose one or the other?
A: Some commanders have multiple commander effects. These are broken up into seperate paragraphs in the Commander Effect section of the card. So in the case of Grand Admiral Thrawn, you would need to choose one of the paragraphs, +3 Attack and +3 Defense to non-uniques or swapping, but in the case of Nom Anor it's a single paragraph and you get both effects.
Vongsense
Q: Does Vongsense affect a Yuuzhan Vong Ossus Guardian when in a New Republic squad?
A: No. It affects applicable characters in the Yuuzhan Vong faction.
Yammosk War Coordinator
Q: If I have a Fringe commander in the squad that affects Fringe characters and Yuuzhan Vong characters in my squad, does the commander effect have unlimited range, or range 6?
A: It has unlimited range for the Yuuzhan Vong characters, and range 6 for the Fringe characters.
Force Powers
Force Meditation
Q: Can Force Meditation result in an enemy character having a negative attack value?
A: Yes.
Force Withdrawal
Q: Force Withdrawal says it ends prematurely if the character spends a Force point. Is that even possible after he gains Force Immunity?
A: Yes, the character may still spend Force points. Nothing in the definition of Force Immunity prevents doing so.

Likewise, abilities that reflect damage back to the attacker have no effect against that attack. Crack Gunner does not affect damage from effects that are not attacks, such as Force Lightning.
Hand of the Emperor

Faq de Galaxy at war
Commander Effects
Admiral Yularen
Q: Does Admiral Yularen's commander effect affect a character with Melee Attack if it uses an ability or power that makes the attack nonmelee, like Lightsaber Throw?
A: No. The character still has Melee Attack, and does not qualify for this commander effect.
Captain Mar Tuuk
Q: Can Captain Mar Tuuk's commander effect modify the 1 activation from San Hill's commander effect? In DCI play can you activate 2 rather than the standard 1 when you go first in the round?
A: Yes to both. (Note that the former question would not be applicable to the somewhat similar Grand Moff Tarkin and Admiral Ozzel interaction due to the difference in wording.)
Captain Rex 501st Commmander
Q: Do Captain Rex 501st Commmander's commander effect and Clone Commander Gree's similar commander effect work together allowing 4 extra squares of movement for some characters?
A: Yes.
General Skywalker
Q: If a character with Galloping Attack is in a squad with General Skywalker can you use Momentum on each attack as long as you end your movement within 6 squares of General Skywalker?
A: No. The character does not gain Momentum until it ends its move within 6 of General Skywalker. It would only gain Momentum on attacks that occur after the move ends.
Special Abilities
Ground Pilot
Q: Does Ground Pilot add to base Speed or to the total squares moved?
A: The base Speed, so the typical character with Speed 6 will be Speed 8, and 16 if it moves double speed.
Q: Is a character with Ground Pilot considered a Pilot?
A: No.
Rolling Cleave
Q: How does Rolling Cleave interact with Galloping Attack?
A: Rolling Cleave works as normal once during the turn and potentially triggers another Galloping Attack if the square moved ends adjacent to another character. Resolve the movement first, then the Rolling Cleave Attack, then the Galloping Attack.
Q: Can Rolling Cleave be used with Strafe Attack? Can you modify your path (not the ending space) with it? If you can, can you move over someone to trigger a Strafe Attack?
A: Rolling Cleave works as normal once during the turn and potentially triggers another Strafe Attack if the square moved will enter a square containing an enemy character. Resolve the Strafe Attack first (before entering the square, as usual,) then the movement, then the Rolling Cleave attack if there's an adjacent enemy. Note the character whose square has been entered will not be eligible for the Rolling Cleave attack as it's not in an adjacent square. Only the landing space is pre-determined so the player may move into any square that doesn't prevent reaching the designated ending space or violate the other movement rules during a Strafe Attack.
Q: If a character with Heavy Weapon also has Rolling Cleave, is its instant movement after defeating an adjacent character suppressed by Heavy Weapon or is it an exception on that character's turn?
A: The character may not move during its turn since it attacked.
Medical Supplies
Q: Can Medical Supplies be given to one character total for the entire skirmish, or one character per round?
A: It can be used each time this character can replace its turn so typically once per round, but there are methods to take more than one turn in a round.
Q: Can Medical Supplies be used by a character with 0 Attack or 0 Damage like a Mouse Droid even though the ability it grants replaces attacks?
A: Yes.
Munitions Supplies
Q: Can Munitions Supplies be given to one character total for the entire skirmish, or one character per round?
A: It can be used each time this character can replace its turn so typically once per round, but there are methods to take more than one turn in a round.
Q: Can Munitions Supplies be used by a character with 0 Attack or 0 Damage like a Mouse Droid even though the ability it grants replaces attacks?
A: Yes.

Dynamic Duo

Star Wars Miniatures Errata
Updated - April 2009
Star Wars Miniatures Errata
This section contains rules corrections and official errata for the Star Wars Miniatures Starter Set, the AT-AT Imperial Walker, and the Clone Strike, Revenge of the Sith, Universe, Champions of the Force, Bounty Hunters, The Force Unleashed, Legacy of the Force, Knights of the Old Republic, The Clone Wars Starter Set, Booster Packs, and Map Packs, and the Imperial Entanglements Booster Packs. These corrections will be incorporated into future editions of the game rules.
Black Sun
Add the following text to the rulebook entry:
Characters whose names contain Black Sun also count as Black Sun for purposes of effects but do not gain the other benefits of the Black Sun ability.
Crack Gunner
Add the following new rule:
Crack Gunner +[#]: When this character combines fire with adjacent allies with Mounted Weapon, it grants the stated bonus to Damage on that attack. Enemies cannot use abilities such as Parry or Lightsaber Block to avoid that damage, Damage Reduction has no effect, and abilities such as Draw Fire or Bodyguard cannot change the target of the attack or redirect its damage. Likewise, abilities that reflect damage back to the attacker have no effect against that attack. Crack Gunner does not affect damage from effects that are not attacks, such as Force Lightning.
Hand of the Emperor
In addition to spending its own Force Points once per turn, this character can spend Force points from a character whose name contains Emperor Palpatine once per turn. A character whose name contains Emperor Palpatine must be in your squad to use this ability.
Lightsaber Reflect
Replace the rulebook entry with the following:
Lightsaber Reflect: (Force; 2 Force points) When a character using this Force power is hit by a nonmelee attack, it can avoid the damage with a save of 11. If this character avoids damage in this way, the attacker takes the stated amount of damage unless it makes a save of 11. You must decide whether to use this Force power immediately after the attack hits.
Soresu Style Mastery
Replace the rulebook entry with the following:
Soresu Style Mastery: When this character is hit by an attack, it takes no damage with a save of 11.
Blaster [#]
Replace the rulebook entry with the following:
Instead of making its normal attack or attacks, this character can make one attack against a target enemy in line of sight, ignoring the Melee Attack restriction, at the specified Attack value, dealing [#] damage. This counts as a nonmelee attack for purposes of effects such as Lightsaber Deflect and Molecular Shielding.
Galloping Attack
This ability is usable only on this character's turn.
Ion Gun
Replace the rulebook entry with the following:
Ion Gun +[#]: The character gets a +[#] bonus to Damage against nonliving enemies.
Strafe Attack
This ability is usable only on this character's turn.
AT-AT Imperial Walker
AT-AT Imperial Walker (Imperial, 1/1) Heavy Laser Cannon (1 activation: Make 2 attacks, Attack +6. On a hit, 60 damage to target; each character adjacent to that target takes 20 damage, save 11. Errata Imperial Entanglement
Emperor Palpatine on Throne
Q: Can a character without a Force rating spend this character's Force points?
A: Yes.
Jabba the Hutt
Q: Does Jabba's commander effect refer to characters with the Bounty Hunter ability, or Bounty Hunter in their name, or both?
A: The Bounty Hunter ability only.
Mercenary Commander
Q: When a character with Mercenary gains Furious Assault, can he use it if he starts in a square where he can make an attack?
A: No. The character would only be able to use Furious Assault when the Mercenary restriction is not applicable.
Moff Jerjerrod
Q: Would this effect stack with Baron Fel's commander effect, or Battle Meditation, or Control Minds?
A: Yes to Baron Fel's effect; it modifies the combined fire rule rather than directly affecting a statistic. Yes to Battle Meditation; it specifically says it stacks with such abilities. No to Control Minds; it creates another direct bonus to a statistic from a commander effect.
Xizor
Q: Does Xizor's commander effect refer to characters with the Black Sun ability, Black Sun in their name, or both?
A: The Black Sun ability only.
Special Abilities
Pathfinder
Q: Does Pathfinder affect characters within six, or terrain squares within six?
A: Terrain squares. A large or bigger character could conceivably be within six squares but still slowed by terrain further away.
Q: Does Pathfinder affect low objects also?
A: No.
Relay Orders
Q: Does Relay Orders work with commander effects that affect adjacent characters?
A: No. It only works when a range is specified.
Q: Is a character with Relay Orders affected by Disruptive?
A: No. Disruptive only affects the commander or the character receiving the effect. Note that if the commander is in range of Disruptive, his commander effect is completely shut down even for a character within range of Relay Orders unaffected by Disruptive.
Q: Is the character with Relay Orders affected itself by commander effects?
A: No. But if you had two characters with Relay Orders each could potentially affect the other.
Savage
Q: Can a savage character use an ability that replaces turn if doing so would prevent him from moving adjacent to an enemy?
A: No.
Q: Can a savage character who starts adjacent to enemies use an ability that replaces turn if it will result in moving all those enemies away, like Force Push 5 for example?
A: Yes.
Speed 0
Q: Can a character with Speed 0 board a transport like the Troop Cart?
A: Not on its normal move on its turn. You must move at least 1 square to end a move and qualify to board.
Force Powers
Levitation 1
Q: How is the movement from Levitation carried out? Can the character go anywhere on the map? Through walls? Through enemy characters?
A: The affected character may take any desired path, one space at a time, through squares that are within 6 squares of the character with Levitation. Other characters and terrain are ignored but the character may not cross through walls.
Q: Can you use Levitation to drop an allied character into a pit square?
A: No.
Q: Would Levitation movement trigger Mines?
A: Yes.
Q: Can Levitation be used to board an ally onto a transport like the Troop Cart?
A: Not directly. The only way to board a transport is to end a move in a square adjacent to it. Levitation is movement, so it can achieve that proper method without actually moving the character onto the transport.
Q: Could Levitation be used to move a character into range of Ysalamiri?
A: Yes.
Lightsaber Reflect
Q: Does Lightsaber Reflect on Darth Vader Legacy of the Force really reflect all damage back at the attacker, and if so, is this retroactive to older characters with Lightsaber Reflect?
A: Yes, it reflects all damage, but no it is not retroactive to older characters at this time.

Errata Clone Wars
Darth Sideous, Hologram
Q: Does this commander effect work on characters without a Force rating?
A: Yes.
Q: When a character without a Force rating receives Force Renewal and gains one or more Force points is it then considered to have a Force rating?
A: No, it just has Force points which may be spent to move faster or reroll an attack or save.
Special Abilities
Blaster
Q: Does Blaster use the normal targeting rules?
A: Yes.
Q: Would abilities like Jedi Hunter work when using Blaster?
A: Yes. It works like any other attack in regard to bonuses to Attack or Damage.
Q:.Does Blaster count as a nonmelee attack for something like Lightsaber Deflect or Evade?
A: No. It counts as a melee attack, and Parry and Lightsaber Block would be applicable defenses.
Invisibility
Q: Can a character with invisibility be targeted by targeted abilities when adjacent, or just attacks?
A: Targeted abilities may be used as well, if adjacent.
Q: Does a character with Invisibility still grant cover to a character behind it?
A: Yes.
Mines
Q: If a character moves into a square adjacent to two characters with Mines, does the character have to make two saves?
A: No. Multiple copies of the same ability do not stack. The character makes one Mines save when entering a particular affected square.
Q: Does a character with Flight have to make the Mines save?
A: Yes, it still moved into the square.
Q: If a character enters the adjacent square by disembarking a transport or being swapped in through a commander effect like Grand Admiral Thrawn's does it make a Mines save?
A: No. Those examples are not movement.
Resilient
Q: Is this immunity the same as for droids where it just prevents doubling of damage, or does it completely nullify the critical hit?
A: It nullifies the critical hit, but does not nullify the number rolled on the die. So damage would not be doubled, and something like the Chagrian Mercenary Commander's commander effect would not trigger, but Disintegration would still occur if a 20 was rolled.
Soresu Style Mastery
Q: Does Soresu Style Mastery work on all attacks, or just melee attacks?
A: Just melee attacks.
