Time limit:
Rounds 1-6: 60 minutes each

Special rules:
1. Each player registers a 100, 150 and 200 points squad of the same faction. So if you play Rebels at 100 points, you also have to play Rebels at 150 and 200 points. If you play a Fringe only squad, still choose a faction, please (you never know which loop hole someone might explore ^^).
2. You play the squads according to the list in "Formats".
3. You may play different maps for your different squads. You still have to register the map of choice for each squad before the tournament starts, of course. Which maps are legal for which format you can look up at "Maps". You can’t change maps during the tournament! If you register an invalid map, you always have to play on your opponent’s map. If both player’s maps are illegal (Holy cow, I hope that will never happen! ^^), the match will be counted as a double loss.
4. You may use a Unique miniature only in 1(!!!) squad! For example, if you play Mas Amedda at 150 points, he may not be used at 100 and 200 points. Different versions of a Unique are not affected by this rule. For example, if you play Han Solo, Scoundrel at 100 points, you may play, for example, Han Solo, Smuggler at 150 points. Only the name of the mini counts towards this special rule! The only ways to play a Unique in two (or three) different squads are Reinforcements and Reserves because you don’t have to enter those on the registration sheets.
5. The best german player will be (inofficial) german SWM champion 2011. If a foreign player wins the tournament, he (or she) will get the prizes, but the title remains in Germany. “Germans” are defined by their living place. If, for example, an american player wins the tournament, but he (or she) lives in Germany, he still is german SWM champion 2011.
6. You get 3 points for a win and 1 point for a draw. Further please write down the EXACT result of the match (for example, 100:50)! This may help deciding who is ranked on which position after the first 6 rounds and advances into the top 8. Last year the DCI program let someone enter the top 8 because of his last name. The player’s name ranked 9th didn’t start with an “A”… To avoid this we will use the new tiebreaker as explained above.
7. For everything else the latest DCI rules apply (official minis only; gambit points; gambit points may only be scored by minis with points of 5+ which are no Reinforcements; etc.).
An advice:
Bring pen and paper to the tournament to avoid irritations, especially with gambit points. It happened too often that people lost because they didn’t keep track of their point score properly or because dice have fallen over which where used for score counting. It is only for your own good. ;-)
Any further questions?
Tell Laurent what bothers you and he will send your questions to me. I will try to answer as quickly as possible.
I hope to see some of you in Cologne!
